William E. Niles

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Ascent Media Corporation

William E. Niles was named Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Ascent Media Corporation in September 2008. Bill serves as the chief legal officer of the Company and oversees its team of attorneys responsible for all aspects of the Company's legal affairs around the world. Bill has been with Ascent Media Group since its inception in 2000, and, before that, from 1998 to 2000, served as General Counsel and Vice President-Business Affairs of Four Media Company, one of the constituent companies acquired to form Ascent Media Group. From 1997 through 1998, Bill served as General Counsel and Vice President of Business Affairs of Pacific Ocean Post ("POP"), where he negotiated the deal terms surrounding the acquisition of POP by Four Media Company. During his tenure at Ascent Media Group and, before that, at Four Media Company, Bill helped to negotiate and consummate numerous acquisitions, commercial and strategic business relationships and banking facilities.

Bill joined POP from the law firm of Stein & Kahan, where he started in 1990. He became a partner in 1995, practicing corporate law and representing a number of post-production companies, including POP. Before joining Stein & Kahan, Bill was an associate at Baker & McKenzie, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, banking, finance and general corporate transactional law.

Bill received his law degree from Georgetown University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California. He is a native of, and currently resides in Malibu, California.
